从剧本到电影——每周英文剧本精读之《战争之王》(二)
上一回写到男二号的姓名出现,一颗子弹在机器中诞生,今天接着用截图和剧本分析这部作品的酷拽炫屌炸天的开头。
- The BULLET, picked up by a ham-fisted UKRAINIAN FACTORY WORKER, is tossed into a crate.
(一个乌克兰工人张开大手拿起这颗子弹,将其装入货箱内)
- The BULLET, lying in its open crate, rolls down a chute where it\'s inspected by a UKRAINIAN MILITARY OFFICER holding a manifest. He seems to stare directly at our BULLET.

Call it "agricultural machinery".
(叫它“农业机器”)
从剧本上来看,这一段写得比较简略,当时我在阅读的时候大概想的是导演会用几个比较快速的子弹主观镜头剪碎了,串联起整个场景,速度会比较快,但成片出来的节奏感跟我想象的完全不同。同时军官最后一句台词被删除。
仍然是子弹的主观镜头,在传送带上由工人揉捏
一只大手捡起我们此时的主角——子弹 摄影机随着这双手画了个圈,出现工人的脸
子弹被猛地丢回传送带继续向前
子弹滚进了一个传送通道中
继续翻滚,在通道的下方有一个洞,洞下面就是敞开口的箱子
子弹落入箱子当中
一群工人挥舞着锤子给敞口箱子钉上盖子
我们的主人公子弹也被盖上
一个乌克兰军官打开箱子
接着关上箱子,箱子在黑暗中被左右移动,这时屏幕上光线较暗,继续出字幕
- The BULLET travels along a conveyor belt with thousands of identical siblings in a Ukrainian factory so grey it\'s monochrome.

这一段完全被删除,这部电影当中所有需要在敖德萨拍摄的部分全部被删除,包括比较重要的男主角Yuri的从虚伪的苏联式共/产/主/义到唯利是图的资本主义信仰的转变这一过程全部抹去,比较可惜。

bright, tropical sunshine, surrounded by an azure sea.

这一段的镜头在拍摄时变得非常有趣,不再是简单的黑人搬箱子的镜头,而是从镜头左边快速行驶来一个千斤顶一样的东西,接着千斤顶越驶越近,撞翻了箱子
接着跟上一个子弹不停翻转的主观镜头
在子弹被撞飞的主观镜头中可以看到剧本中所提到的阿比让繁忙的港口。
接着子弹才被一双黑手拈起来,被扔回箱子当中
接着箱子被抬起来,一直向前,被搬入一辆卡车上,车上还有不少子弹箱
为了在节奏上产生变化,在同一个卡车上的镜头里,导演安排一只黑手抓起子弹往下扔
- The BULLET is unloaded from the truck in Freetown, Sierra Leone
- 塞拉利昂的首都弗里敦有人把子弹从车上搬了下来,
导演此时为了制造戏剧性,让子弹散落一地
- immediately grabbed by the young HAND of a RUF soldier.

- The BULLET is loaded into a 30-round magazine which is inserted
into an AK-47 machine gun.

the sound of raised voices and gunfire.

towards the chamber as the Kalashnikov is fired.

- Smack. The gun\'s bolt strieks the explosive cap, gunpowder
ignited, the BULLET driven out of the barrel.

- Shed of its casing - now only a slug - the BULLET emerges into
bright sunshine. It is flying down the main street in Freetown.
- 出窍的子弹重击入明亮的阳光中,在弗里敦的大街上飞翔。
- The BULLET gives us a perfect point-of-view of the bullet ahead of it.
They are both flying towards their intended target - a wild-eyed CHILD SOLDIER,
a boy no more than twelve, firing an AK-47 almost as tall as he is.

这一段在拍摄时的变化是把第一发子弹落空给去掉了,直接一发命中,镜头速度非常快,和之前通过枪口看战况的长镜头形成对比

where it is enveloped in blood, finally plunged into
darkness - the bullet\'s final resting place.
- 子弹穿过男孩包裹着血液的脑叶,最终遁入黑暗——其最后的容身之所。
